Uncover Your “Why” for Writing a Book
At Studiolo Secondari, we are passionate about fostering learning and collaboration by sharing our expertise. This month, we're excited to start taking you behind the scenes of the book-development process. And for good measure, we’re inviting you into our kitchen to share a special holiday recipe—perfect for adding a touch of flavor to your table.
Publishing a book can be a gratifying experience.
But before diving too deep into the intricacies of the publishing process, it’s crucial to understand your motivations for writing in the first place. What’s driving you to create and share this work with the world?
Many aspiring authors dream of writing a bestseller or winning a prestigious award. While these are exciting possibilities, the real “why” often lies in more profound, personal motivations.
Share a message to lift others. Do you have a powerful story or insight that could inspire or empower others?
Boost your authority and advance professionally. A published book can establish you as a thought leader in your field.
Create a promotional opportunity. A book can be a powerful tool for promoting your business or brand.
Develop a legacy. Do you want to leave a lasting impact and share your knowledge for future generations?
Fulfill a lifelong dream. For many, writing a book is a personal goal representing creative expression and self-fulfillment.
A recent Studiolo Secondari client, Malaika Moses, the author of The Inner Alphabet, was motivated to write to support her community and create an inspiring book for the next generation by sharing tools for being proud and resilient.
Understanding your “why” will fuel your commitment to the writing process and help you create a sigificant and impactful book. If you are feeling stuck or unsure about your “why,” consider scheduling a discovery call with Linda to explore your motivations and goals for writing a book.
This blog post is the first in a series based on “4 Questions to Ask & Answer – Creating a Publishing Roadmap.” If you’d like to learn more about developing a publishing roadmap, please go to the Studiolo Secondari Book Coaching page, where we have information on coaching packages and downloads to help you start writing your book!

A Taste of Tradition: Cappelletti in Brodo
The Studiolo Secondari team celebrates the holidays with beloved traditions: making cappelletti in brodo, a dish that honors Linda’s Umbrian roots. 🇮🇹✨
Cappelletti, which means “little hats,” are delicate, meat-filled pasta caps shaped from round pasta sheets. Unlike tortellini, which have a triangular peak, cappelletti are uniquely hat-like and just as delicious!
Every Christmas, Linda and her kids spend hours crafting these from scratch. They prepare the pasta dough, season the filling to perfection, and carefully fold each little cap while the brodo, a rich and flavorful broth, simmers nearby.
It's more than just cooking—it’s a magical afternoon of love, laughter, and connection. This tradition keeps the spirit of Christmas alive while celebrating the Secondari family's heritage and their long-standing tradition of coming together with food and joy.
May your holiday season be filled with traditions that warm your heart and table. Buon Natale! ♥️🎅
